In September (around 11, I do not know exactly when now) we have a meeting at Saran (near Orleans, the real Orleans, not the New Orleans *PACTULOM* ), it is a meeting with all American cars. I have posted some pictures some months ago about 2008 meeting. But it is not as your great meeting ! Only to see many US cars during one day ! But the day before many members of american4x4 gather to do a good but short meeting with grilled meat (schachlik *BEER* )
Between now and this meeting, we have some events everywhere in France all along the summer, but we can not go at all ! The French gas price is a real problem !!! You are very lucky to live in country which produce oil ...!!!! Today 1,25 € / liter !!! Luckily my silverado 6,0 L do not burn much gas , only 12,5 L/100 km at 90-100 km/h (empty, with the camper is around 16-17 L/100 km)

Shashlyk is good, no doubts! However, the event you are going to visit is very interesting as well! Yes, it's a different format: you don't meet co-clubers and a lot of friends, but you can see many different models in a veri nice tuning..

1.25 EUR per liter is almost a double compare to price in Russia. You are right: it's expencive liquid! But I'm surprised that your silverado has so moderate appetite! My Volvo (Cross Country) eats 16!!

My Silverado has the new generation engine with Active Fuel Managment AFM, when you do not need a power, on flat road for example, it works on V4 cylinders, when you need power it go to V8, it is totally indiscernible , you can only know if you ask to board computer to show it.
