thought you guys might get a kick out of this truck a few guys in my offroad group built. It's pretty much done, but the testing/working out bugs will be ongoing with such a crazy truck.

Glad you like the trucks. There are several h1's out here in the western states built for desert Racing and a few that I know of in Europe. It's fun to see how the truck's limitations are overcome. I was checking the white truck closely yesterday at the local hummer dealer. Years of trial and error to get to a great performing race truck. Here are a few more pictures of the truck and it's cool suspension:





the black race truck is still in the testing phase...it has many more custom parts than the white truck. It has so much horse power that it keeps breaking everything! Very fast!

Those "stripped" Hummers look splendidly!

Very interestingly!
I saw many cars, which "do" for rallies-spot-checks.
But I never see, how HUMMER making...
By the way, Robby Gordon's HUMMER became as this?

the "Uh Oh" I posted above was a link to the HML showing a video of the black race truck jumping and bending the frame. I'll try to find it on youtube.

I think the only "hummer" part of Robby Gordon's Dakar truck is the h3 grill bolted to the front! Same goes for all those vehicles...they are basically tube buggies with a body on them to identify them.

Niether one of the race truck's I posted pictures of (and none of the others that I know of) are humvees. They all started life as civi hummer. I think Rod Hall and his son Chad special ordered his racer as a fleet truck from AM General, here's his 2 door (which might be for sale because he doesn't race it anymore!):
