Hummers in Russia

Hi Guys.

I just joined the forum a few days ago and have some questions for you.

What model of Hummer do you have the most of in Russia (most sold)? I would guess the H2.

Did they sell H1's new in Russia or were they imported from another Europe country? Do the Russia Hummer dealers service them just like the H2 and H3?

Are there any special changes to the models to comply with your regulations? All of the H2's and H3's in the US are petrol and only the H1 is diesel. Is that the case for yours?

What is the reaction of most Russians when they see your Hummers? Is it very rare to see one?

Here in the States, H1's still get alot of attention and to a lesser amount the H2's do as well. H3's are very popular here and seen daily.

Let me try to answer you to extend I can..

Most sold are H3, than H2

Unfortunately not! H1 you can only find imported from somewhere, mostly from US. The same with official Hummer deallers- they wouldn't take H1 for service.

Are there any special changes to the models to comply with your regulations?
H1 from the Army wouldn't be possible to register: they are missing number on motor and frame. All other H1 and H2 and 3 you can register without any problems (you need just to custom clear it before).

What is the reaction of most Russians when they see your Hummers? Is it very rare to see one?

Well, it depence... It's attractive for most of the people...the rest just hiding this jellous filling!
In Moscow, St Petersburg you can see Hummer very often on the streets. In other cities- less. If you go out 300-400 miles from big towns with Hummer- this is like UFO for local people.
By the time we are getting more and more Hummer's on the roads.

In Saint Petersburg there is a petrol H1.
One more petrol H1 is in our club, but the person of it(him) has bought reinstalled the engine.
